SC READY Assessment Schedule for PRE
- April 28, 2026: Reading Day 1
- April 29, 2026: Reading Day 2
- April 30, 2026: Writing
- May 5, 2026: Math Day 1
- May 6, 2026: Math Day 2
- May 7, 2026: Science
Participation in SC Ready is mandatory for all students in grades 3 through 5, so there's no option to opt out. We appreciate your efforts to ensure your student arrives on time and ready to learn. Testing will commence promptly at the start of each day. Students who arrive after the tardy bell at 7:50 AM will be supervised in a separate area to prevent disruption of tests and will need to make up the test later.
SC Ready testing will be conducted online this year. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in refraining from scheduling appointments during these important testing dates. Just a friendly reminder: cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted in the classroom during testing. CogAT and Iowa Assessments
CogAT and Iowa Assessments will be given to all second-grade students from Monday, October 15th, through Friday, October 22nd. While the tests are not timed, each day's assessment takes approximately an hour, and tests will occur over a period of five days. Testing begins promptly at 8:45 AM. Students who miss a day of testing will have a chance to make it up the following week.
